GK provides a wide array of services to assure the successful start-up of an imaging center. These services include:

  • Site Selection:
    • Though selection may vary, typical parameters include: size (approximately 5,000 square feet on the first floor of a Class A medical office space), access (near interstate or major transit corridors), proximity to referring physicians, and visibility and parking (for at least 25);
    • GK will identify the location and space, and negotiate a term-sheet;
  • Center Design:
    • An attractive and efficient facility is vital to the success of an imaging center.  Patient comfort is a key goal, but so is operational efficiency.  A center must be designed with work-flow and staff and patient comfort.  Having designed 12 imaging facilities, GK has a team of architects, trades and general contractors to call upon in this effort;
  • Equipment Selection:
    • Equipment purchase is the most significant outlay of capital of an imaging center – typically several million dollars – and the service and vendor relationships are among the most vital for continuing success.  GK negotiates constantly with the top vendors and stays abreast of the latest advances in software and hardware.  With its tremendous experience, GK will aid in selecting modalities taking into account the various partners, service area, and potential referring patterns.  GK will also use its experience and leverage to negotiate for equipment software and service contracts. GK has a track record of negotiating for state-of-the art equipment with OEM’s at rates that are 30%-40% lower than hospital pricing;
  • Staffing:
    • GK hires, trains, supervises, and manages the entire center.  Positions include front desk, technologists, marketing, IT, accounting, and billing. Employees are selected for their ability to embody the GK mission, which seeks a balance of experience, expertise, and service;
  • Marketing & Branding:
    • GK will develop an independent brand for each center, including the name, logo, website, marketing material, and signage. GK will also select and train Marketing personnel.
